That’s right, your design could appear on the official 2018 Junior Ski to Sea Race T-shirt!  And you’ll win a treat a week at Bellingham McDonalds!  Download the entry form at KAFE.com or pick up an entry form at Whatcom County Haggen stores.

The winning design will be used in the 2018 race posters, t-shirts and other promotional materials. Designs should depict some or all of the Jr. Ski to Sea Race legs (run, bike, soccer, hula-hoop, obstacle course)

ENTRY FORM REQUIREMENTS:
Entry forms can be downloaded from KAFE.com or picked up at
Whatcom County Haggen stores.
Contest is open to children grades 3—8.

All designs must be created by the entrant.  No copyrighted or trademarked material can be used. Designs can be in crayon, watercolor, oil, acrylic, pencil, ink, marker or designed electronically.   However, each submission should be limited to two colors.

ART SUBMISSION AND SELECTION:

Submissions can be made with a scan or photo with your smartphone of the design.  Upload the scan or photo to KAFE.com or dropped off at the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce Office at 119 N Commercial Street, Suite 110, Bellingham and we will help you scan and upload the design.  Submissions will not be accepted at Haggen stores. If submitting artwork online please keep original artwork in the event it is selected and needs to be re-scanned.

All submissions must be able to be posted to KAFE.com.  The top ten submissions,  based on the public votes through KAFE.com, will be considered the finalists.  The Jr. Ski to Sea Committee will choose on the winning design. All designs submitted become property of the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

An electronic reproduction of the winning design will be used on the 2018 Jr Ski to Sea t-shirts, posters and may also be used in promotional advertising.

There is no monetary prize for winning the design contest.  Winner will receive a t-shirt with their design plus a $300 gift certificate from the Bellingham McDonalds for a treat a week for 2018. Offer expires 12/31/2018.

• Entry forms will be available from January 1, 2018 – January 14, 2018.
• Contest submissions and entry will take place from January 1, 2018 – January 14, 2018.
• Online voting on the submissions will occur from January 15 – January 21, 2018.
• The top ten finalists will be announced on Monday, January 22, 2018.—The winner will be announced on Friday, January 26, 2018.
• Registration for the race opens on February 1, 2018 on bellingham.com/junior-race.
• The 2018 Jr. Ski to Sea Race will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Zuanich Point Park.

The Junior Ski to Sea Race presented by Haggen Northwest Fresh is an annual relay race organized and hosted by the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  It is for participants who are in 3rd grade or older.
